Gigabit residential UFB fibre coming to Hamilton, Tauranga, Wanganui + more

Ultrafast Fibre have advised they have a new residential Gigabit UFB fibre service launching. This is ten times the top speed (100Mb/s) they currently offer to residential customers. The company is responsible for building and wholesaling Ultra-Fast Broadband (Fibre) services in Hamilton, Tauranga, Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Tokoroa, New Plymouth, Wanganui and Hawera.

When the 1-Gigabit UFB service launches on 1 July 2014 wholesale pricing will be $65/month – with retail prices and providers as yet unknown. Ultrafast Fibre have committed to fix the 1 gigabit service plan and its
wholesale monthly price until 2020.

Ultrafast Fibre advise they are also working towards launching two other new wholesale services in July
2014 called Ultra 100, with a 100 megabit per second download speed and 20 megabit per
second upload speed (wholesale price of $45 per month) and Ultra 200 with a 200 megabit per
second download speed and 20 megabit per second upload speed (wholesale price of $55 per
month).
